Farm Pond Project:

Objective:

  • To create source for protective irrigation and reduce the submergence land in the project area.

Key Outcomes:

  1. Keeping the solution affordable and sustainable for the small and marginal farmers to adopt.
  2. Longevity of the solution to serve through technology, maintenance, and support to enhance the incomes
  3. Increasing the farmer’s ability to take at least one additional crop, possibly two.
  4. Creating a water security situation for other interventions to take a foothold, augmenting further income generation for the Farmer
  5. A step towards climate-resilient agricultural practices.

Watershed Projects (Hottal, Kushawadi and Katkalamba):

Objectives:

  • Human Resource Development (community mobilization and development)  
  • Soil and land management (conservation and use)  
  • Water management (conservation and use)  
  • Development of Agri and allied sectors such as dairy, plantation & Horticulture, livestock development, etc.  
  • Social and economic empowerment of women and landless families  
  • Soil fertility and soil productivity enhancement  
  • Sustainable Natural Resource Management and climate resilient farming practices  
  • Climate change adaptation and climate risk mitigation  
  • Capacity building and knowledge management

Key Outcomes:

  1. Adaptive capacity of the communities in watersheds is strengthened and their vulnerability to climate change is reduced.
