Happy Soil Project:

Objectives:

• Create awareness about importance of organic carbon
• Increase soil carbon content level to more than 1%
• Transition shift from intensive tillage to minimum tillage

Key Outcomes:

1. Increase in organic carbon content up to 1%
2. Increase in productivity of soil by 10 to 25 %.
3. Reduction in cost of production by 10 to 25 %
4. Increased income of farmers by 10,000 to 25,000 depending upon the crop management.
5. Revolutionized changes in practices by farmers by reduced usage of agrochemicals.
6. Farmers will be diverted towards regenerative farming practices.
7. Farmers will be acquainted with the shredder implement which is not being used by farmers.
8. Soil testing of 2000 farmer’s fields will be used for fertility index calculation and will be used as a thumb rule for other farmers in the villages.
